Singapore: China congratulated the Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong and the Popular Action Party (PAP) in power for their victory during the recent general elections in 2025.
“China congratulates the victory,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, a daily press conference on Tuesday, May 6.
“This year marks the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in China-Singapore,” said Lin, adding that China attaches importance to the growth of its relations with Singapore.
“We are ready to work with the new Singapore government to strengthen communication and exchanges, deepen practical cooperation and raise the partnership in China-Singapore, of high quality and focused on the future at a new level,” said Lin.
