Financial director Peihing Tsai said the company exported 100% of its products to the United States.
“We are now working overtime and do our best to motivate our workers, because these 3 months will be very busy,” said Tsai. The company has managed to postpone more than 30 containers in the last 4 days – the amount that is normally shipped in a month.
President Donald Trump's new prices threaten to advance the prices of clothing, mobile phones, furniture and many other products in the coming months. They could end the era of cheap products which the Americans appreciated for about a quarter of a century before the pandemic.
Tsai said that it feared that the distributors will abandon the factory if the rate rates exceed 10%. But still, he added, there is no way that society can move production in the United States-“the cost is astronomical”.
In the end, he said: “The increased price will be borne by our end consumers.”
