“The Golden Bachelor” returns and the new main man has a life spent in the NFL.
Mel Owens was announced as the new “Bachelor Golden” for season 2 by ABC on Tuesday. The 66 -year -old man was selected as ninth choice in total during the NFL recovery of 1981 by the Rams of Los Angeles. He now works as a lawyer in the County of Orange, California.

Owens was previously married and both have two sons together, according to ABC.
ABC said in a press release that Owens sought to find love, “rooted in the company's simple joys – sharing the daily moments of life, making plans for the future and stronger as a couple.”
