The track and the field are full of stars like Noah Lyles And Sha'Carri Richardson … but maybe there is no better story than the employee and Hardler of Walmart part-time Dylan BeardWho manages the meat slicer while continuing her dream!
TMZ SPORTS spoke to Beard, 26, a few days before Grand Chelem track Event in Miami – Going down from May 2 to 4 in the south of Florida – and its history is great.
“I started working at Walmart in October 2023 just to get funds to be able to compete at a professional level in athletics. Funds for travel, treatments, massages and almost just that,” said Beard, explaining his motivation behind the concert.
Beard, who ran to Wagner, Hampton and Howard as a student-athlete, continued to work and run … Then he had a great opportunity earlier this month.
Dylan was invited to run during the 110 -meter hedge race during the Grand Slam track competition in Kingston, Jamaica … The New Track and Field Org. Launched by American Olympic Great Michael Johnson.
Not content with introducing himself, Beard shocked many people by winning his heat (13.29 times), fixing the bag in the process, going home with a check for $ 50,000!
Beard, thanks to the great performance, was invited to run at the next TPS event … going down Friday in Miami (tunes on CW, Peacock).
Despite the success, Beard is still working on the Charcuterie counter in Walmart, and he says that the company (which now sponsors it also) was great.
“I am always associated with the store, I still work a few hours here and there, but (Walmart) is very forgiving with me. You know, last year, I was probably doing five days a week, about 30 hours, 25 to 30 hours. Now is much more relaxed, one or two days for the week.”
As much as he loves and appreciates the work, Beard hopes that with more victories on the track, he can run full time … where he pulls to be one of the fastest men in the world.
Next step, Miami – Good luck, Dylan!
