The United Nations has warned that up to 887,000 people have been affected in Myanmar by Typhoon Yagi.
“The worst-affected areas remain devastated, with widespread destruction of homes, household belongings, water sources and electricity infrastructure,” the UN humanitarian agency (OCHA) said on Saturday.
“Roads, bridges, communication networks, schools, public service facilities, religious sites, crops and farmland have been severely damaged or completely collapsed,” he added.
