Cyclone Errol showed “a few signs of weakening” while it turned off the coast of Western Australia from Wednesday April 16 to Thursday April 17.

The Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) published this imaging on X, which was captured from 9 a.m. on Wednesday (5 p.m. AWST on Wednesday) at 9 p.m. UTC (5 a.m. AWST Thursday).

“Cyclone Errol, although an intense storm, shows some signs of weakening after developing a very central eye,” wrote the source.

According to the latest information from Meteorology office Thursday, the category 4 cyclone “would begin to weaken and head towards the Kimberley West coast today”. Credit: CSU / CIRA & JMA / JAXA via Storyful
