Ready to hire, which is part of the CANNGUG Group skills training company, a global EDTECH company, has today published its Z generation in the skilled work report – which has studied 525 GEN ZERS (18-29 years) which is currently working in or considering entry -level roles in manufacturing, skilled trades and health care – to better understand how they discover and assess the career lanes. Research comes as industry estimates suggest that 4.2 million American workers plan to retire next year, highlighting the urgent need for organizations to reach this next generation.
“Organizations that rely on an entry-level skilled workforce and face an aging workforce with significant pensions expected in the next year are subject to significant pressure to attract the next generation,” said Rya Conrad-Bradshaw, SVP, Canguage Work and Director General, Ed2GO and ready to hire. “Many roles specializing in manufacturing and health care obliges students to self -funded certification programs, what our research shows can be a critical obstacle to the entry for job seekers of Gen Z.”
