Beijing: China Wednesday May 7 expressed regret and concerns Indian strikes PakistanUndering the two parties to show restraint in response to a major climbing between his nuclear weapons neighbors.
India and Pakistan exchanged the heavy artillery along their border disputed Wednesday, after New Delhi launched missile strikes on his Rival Arch.
Pakistan said Indian strikes had killed at least eight people, and India said Pakistani artillery fires killed three civilians along the disputed cashmere border.
China, which shares the land borders with the two countries and is a close ally of Pakistan, expressed “regret of the military action of India this morning” and said that it was “concerned about current developments”.
“India and Pakistan are neighbors who cannot be separated, and it is also the neighbors of China,” a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“China is opposed to all forms of terrorism.”
“We call on India and Pakistan to prioritize peace and stability, remain calm and retained and avoid taking measures that still complicate the situation,” added the spokesperson.
