How does the 4 nations work?
The 4 official nations have a tournament in the opening round in which the teams play three games, one against each of the other teams. Unlike typical NHL regulations, the round competitions that reach overtime will play 10 minutes of sudden death hockey at 3 before going to a three -laps shooting. If the championship match goes to the OT, the teams will play periods of sudden death of 20 minutes at full power until a brand team. A victory in the rules is worth three points, a victory in overtime or in shooting is worth two points, and a defeat in overtime or in shooting is worth a point. A loss of regulations leads to zero points. At the end of Round Robin, the two teams with the most points, in this case, the United States and Canada, appeared in the championship match on February 20.
