A 40 -year -old cockatoo was delighted to see its former owner for the first time after ten years at the end of March, after an operation restored its sight.
Images filmed by Amy Hurst show his cockato, Boo, having his head bounce with enthusiasm and counterparts against Nedra, his former owner, in a house in Smithfield, in Virginia. Hurst said in Stripleful that it was the first time that Boo has seen Nedra's face after being blind for more than ten years.
Boo lived with Nedra for 20 years before Hurst adopted it earlier in 2024. North Carolina State University managed to remove a cataract from Boo's right eye during an operation in mid-March, restaurants his vision.
