A British nursing student student in the United States was found stabbed to death in an apartment in Houston, Texas, just a few days before her diploma, police and family said.

Elizabeth Tamilore Odunsi, 23, was discovered on April 26 by police officers who had gone to her apartment to check it, Houston police announced.

Police said they had undergone several stab wounds. A man was found in another room with at least one knife injury and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Odunsi had a Tiktok account, Tamidollars, where she posted her 30,000 subscribers about her experiences as a British living in the United States.

In her latest article, from April 21, she described how she was ready to graduate in two weeks and had already reserved a vacation.

A collection of online funds to repatriate it remains in the United Kingdom for burial brought together more than £ 54,000 ($ 71,000).

“Tami was a beautiful soul, full of light, ambition and kindness,” wrote his sister, Georgina Odunsi, on GoFundme.

“She has moved from the United Kingdom to the United States to continue her dream of becoming a nurse, devoting herself to a life of care and services,” she continued.

“Tragically, Tami was brutally murdered only a few days before she graduated from the university – an unimaginable loss at a time that should have started the start of a brilliant and promising future,” wrote his sister.

According to a press release from the Houston Police Service, the police were called to the student housing complex at 3:50 p.m. local time last Saturday.

The police hit the door, but there was no answer. They saw blood on a rear concrete patio and entered the apartment.

“The victim was discovered on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds. A man was discovered in a room with at least one stab wound,” wrote detectives.

Odunsi was declared dead on the scene.

Texas Woman's University, where she studied, did not immediately respond to a request for comments from BBC News.

In a job Last year, Odunsi described how she preferred to live in the United States in the United Kingdom, telling her Tiktok subscribers that “the vibrations are so better here”.

In a more recent article, she shared a video of the cap and the dress she intended to bring to obtaining the diploma, with the legend “3 more weeks”.

In a previous article, she shared a video of herself a student with legend: “She does not yet know, but in a year, all her hard work will be paid, she will work as a nurse in her dream specialty.”

Odunsi added that she hoped to have a “stronger relationship with Christ, living a silent and peaceful life”.
