India responded with drones on targets in Pakistan and destroyed an air defense system, said Vyomika Singh, an Indian air force officer, said at a press conference.
Pakistani Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, had rejected previous Indian accusations of Pakistani attacks as “baseless and misleading” and said that Pakistan had carried out any “offensive action”.
In the Pakistani cashmere, officials said that heavy bombings on the other side of the border killed five civilians, including one infant, and injured 29 others at the beginning of Friday.
Fighting has been the deadliest since a limited conflict between the two countries in the Kargil cashmere region in 1999.
The sirens took more than two hours earlier Friday in Amritsar, which houses the Golden Temple revered by the Sikhs.
Tourists fled the city by road while the airport was closed.
“We really wanted to stay, but the noisy sounds, the sirens and the breakdowns of Panus give us white nights. Our families at home are worried about us, so we have booked a taxi and leave,” said a British national who did not want to be appointed.
The schools and coaching centers have been closed in the Bikaner region in the desert state of the Rajasthan of India, and residents near the Pakistani border said they were told to consider it to move with parents elsewhere or to use government adjustment.
Further south in Bhuj in Gujarat, the authorities said that tourist buses were pending in case they are to evacuate people near the Pakistani border.
