The Cincinnati Bengals will return wide receiver Tee Higgins for Monday night’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor said Saturday that Higgins “feels good, can give 100 percent” after the receiver missed the first two games with a hamstring injury.
Higgins returned to training on Thursday in a limited capacity and was back on the field Friday, a positive sign for the 0-2 Bengals that he was close to returning. He had not practiced since Sept. 5. He participated in pregame warmups Sunday before their Defeat 26-25 to the Kansas City Chiefs, prompting Taylor to say things were “moving in a positive direction.”
On Friday, Higgins said he felt “great” and was ready to return to the field for “Monday Night Football.”
“Obviously I’m unfortunate with the injury, I was sidelined the first two weeks, but I’m finally ready to get this season going and ready to go,” Higgins said.
After rushing for at least 908 yards and six touchdowns in each of his first three NFL seasons, Higgins recorded 42 receptions for 656 yards and five touchdowns while playing in 12 games in 2023.
