A man from Yucaipa aggravated his problems on Thursday, March 6, when he injured himself as he tried to destroy a hard drive containing illegal images of children while the Redlands police ended to arrest him, said the Redlands police department.
The police presented themselves at the trailer of the 26 -year -old man in a park of mobile houses in the 13000 block of the 5th rue in Yucaipa around 12:30 p.m. to serve a search warrant. Seeing this, the man pierced by a hard drive but injured his fingers, said a police press release.
He was arrested but refused treatment for his injuries.
The detectives had recovered more than 100 sexual abuse files on children from the electronic devices they seized on Friday, the statement said.
The man was sentenced to the West valley center in Rancho Cucamonga, suspected of possession of obscene material, distribution of obscene material and destroying evidence, according to the San Bernardino County Journal. He has a hearing date on March 10.

The investigation was part of an operation underway by Internet crimes against the regional children's working group known as the Guardian 2.0 online.
