The Yemen rebel Houthi group said that an American air strike struck a prison with African migrants, killing at least 68 people and injuring 47 others.
Graphic sequences broadcast by the Al-Masirah satellite news channel aligned with Houthi-Houth showed what seemed to be corpses and others injured on the site.
The interior ministry managed by the Houthis said 115 migrants had been detained on the site.
Images of the site analyzed by the Associated Press have suggested that a kind of explosion took place, with cement walls apparently dotted with debris fragments.
The strike of the governor of Saada in Yemen, a Houthi bastion, is the last incident of the war of a decade of the country to see African migrants from Ethiopia and other nations killed while trying to cross Yemen to have a chance to work in neighboring Saudi Arabia.

Night air strikes
Meanwhile, US Air hits overnight after Monday, targeting the capital of Yemen killed at least eight people, the Houthis said.

The Declaration of the Night of the Central Command also said that Operation Rough Rider had “killed hundreds of Houthi fighters and many Houthi leaders”, including those associated with its missile and drones program.
