Star Jacksonville Arik Armstead is delighted that the jaguars have a bidirectional phenomenon Travis Hunter … TMZ SPORTS He is super pumped to welcome his new teammate – even if the winner of Heisman does not spend much time on his side of the ball.
“I think it's a rare air,” said Armstead – who announced the big choice at the draft. “We have a player here who would have been a first -round choice as a receiver or a cornerback. And, you know, it is very unlikely that a prospect can be a first -round choice in two different two positions.”
So where do you use a guy who is great in attack and defense? We asked Arik.
“(Jags head coach Liam Coen) came out and said they wanted to start it in attack and sprinkle it in defense. I think this is the plan they have for (Travis), and we are delighted to have it. And, you know, it's going to be a bit of a transition for him as for all NFL recruits, but he is a dynamic player. And, I think it will add a different element to our team which will be very exciting. “”
Of course, the jags had originally had to choose at 5 years old … and Hunter would have been out of the table by then. But, Team Brass made it clear that they wanted to traves … and thanks to a big business with the Browns, they were able to jump three choices and get their guy.
