While his competitive career ended, Ross turned to coaching. She was a chief coach of El Camino College in her native in southern California last season.
In its new role, Ross' functions include “support for professional development for the coaches of the national beach team, improving their training, their preparation for the competition and the performance of our best American athletes on the international scene”, according to American volleyball.
The United States won at least one beach medal during each of the first seven Olympic Games to include the sport – from Atlanta 1996 to Tokyo 2020 – with seven gold medals in this period. The best American beach teams at the Paris Games went out in the quarter -finals.
