Aaron Rodgers wanted to set the record straight. But there were no difficult answers on his future.
During an appearance on Thursday on “The Pat McAfee Show”, on which he is a regular paid guest, Rodgers said that he was dealing with personal questions with members of his inner circle and that is why he did not decided if he will play in 2025.

Rodgers said he was frank on what was going on with the teams to whom he had spoken.
“Retirement could always be a possibility, but at the moment, I will focus on my personal life, and that's what I said to the coaches,” Rodgers told McAfee.
He said he didn’t wait for Minnesota Vikings because he wanted to play it, which was supposed.
“It is not correct either,” said Rodgers.
He spoke of wanting to set the record straight and said that many reports and rumors had been false. He told McAfee that he had told the teams that he would play for $ 10 million, which is below the market for a starting quarter. He said he had “enriching anyone”.

“I have a lot that attracts my attention and have, from January, far from football,” said Rodgers. “This is where I focused on most of my attention. Getting involved in a team is a great thing.”
Rodgers did not exclude playing with the Pittsburgh steelers – he said he had tried to keep his meeting with the secret steelers, fly even in a different airport, but the word is anyway out – or someone else (apart from the New York jets) in 2025.
When McAfee finally asked Rodgers directly on the possibility of playing with the Steelers, he did not give a direct response.
“I try to be open to anything and I am not specifically attached to anything with regard to this decision,” said Rodgers. “I don't want anyone hostage, I really want to emphasize it. I was frank from the start. I don't want to say respect for a player from their team, veteran or young man who enters, I just spend a lot in my personal life who must take an advantage at this point.”

He was asked if there had been a deadline to speak to the Steelers of his decision.
“Listen, all this time, I did not feel like I was having a kind of decision at any time,” said Rodgers. “This is my life. Things are different now. My personal life is different. I have things in the inner circle which I am intimately close to what is really important for me. And I was frank with them on this subject. And I said listened, if you need to continue and do something, by all means. Nothing but love and respect.”
Rodgers said that his release from the jets did not take place. He stole across the country to meet the jets and said that after 15 seconds, the director general of the new jets, Darren Mougey, had asked if he was interested in playing this season, then we said that the jets were advancing without him. Rodgers said that he had planned a long meeting and it took about 15 minutes.
“I was a little shocked,” said Rodgers. “Not shocked because I didn't think it was a possibility. But shocked because I stole across the country and you could have told me on the phone.”

Based on the interview with Rodgers, the expectation of what he will do will continue for a while.
There has not been an update on Rodgers plans for weeks. The Steelers themselves have not heard of Rodgers from a meeting on March 21, Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS reported.
Rodgers' options have become more limited when he was waiting to make a decision. The Vikings of Minnesota would have been a favorite destination, and although the Vikings had discussions with him, they finally decided not to continue him.
It seemed to leave the steelers or retirement like the two main options. The Steelers were looking for a quarter-Arrière and made the playoffs last season. If Rodgers wanted to continue playing, few teams had an opening and the teams with trembling quarter situations were not suitors at the obvious playoffs in 2025.
