Rajon Rondo is officially graduated from Kentucky – 20 years after playing there. Friday, the retirement goalkeeper and former Wildcat received his diploma after obtaining his undergraduate diploma, obtaining a BA in communications.
The name of Rondo was included in a list of graduates of student-athletes released by the School Sports Department on Thursday. The NBA all-star quadruple is one of the seven athletes who returned to school to finish their undergraduate diplomas after their eligibility has already expired.
Rondo played for Kentucky from 2004 to 2006, before declaring for the draft of the NBA and renouncing its remaining eligibility. The goalkeeper began his career with the Boston Celtics and spent eight seasons there before rebounding between a certain number of teams, winning two championships – 2008 with the Celtics and 2020 with the Los Angeles Lakers – Pending.

Rondo played his last season in the NBA in 2022 and officially retired from the sport in 2024.
The Kentucky diploma will take place throughout the weekend, with additional start ceremonies that take place on Saturday.
