Indian television channels have also shown light rockets and lightning in the sky above the city of Jaisalmer in the state of Rajasthan, which shares a border with the South Pakistani province of Sindh.

In a press release, Islamabad denied having attacked Pathankot in the state of Punjab in India, Srinagar in the Kashmir valley and Jaisalmer and said that the accusations were “completely unfounded, with political motivation and part of an imprudent propaganda campaign aimed at Malin Pakistan”.

The Ministry of Pakistan Foreign Affairs said that the country would respond to any climbing “with a complete resolution and a determination to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan”.

Electricity in Jammu was slowly restored after a power outage during the attack, said a journalist from Reuters.

Eight missiles, taken from Pakistan in the cities of the Jammu region of Satwari, Samba, Ranbir Singh Pura and Arnia, were intercepted by the air defense units, added an Indian military source which asked not to be appointed.
