The former UFC heavyweight champion Alex Pereira said that his account X was hacked on Wednesday after a cryptic tweet suggested that he was retiring due to tensions with the UFC.
The explanation occurred after the fans raised the eyebrows while the story of Pereira suggested a friction between him and the organization in a position which quickly became viral.
“I have always answered the calls of the UFC, but if they want to play with me, we can do it. I have never spoken badly of the UFC, but with what I have just heard, I am discouraged. I have already thought of not fighting, and after what was relayed to me, it can be the beginning.”
Shortly after, Pereira published a video explaining the situation on Instagram.

“Well, everyone, I received a ton of messages from all those who saw a message on my Twitter,” he said. “I didn't know, I was hacked. It's been a while since I posted anything, you see, but I was hacked and I will solve it.
“I don't even know what's going on,” added Pereira. “I have an excellent relationship with the UFC. People like to do bad things, that's it. Chama.”
Poatan recently abandoned its light heavyweight title in a loss of decision against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 last March. An immediate revenge match continues to be discussed, although there has not yet been an official UFC announcement.
