MMA: Dakota Ditcheva to fight in South Africa in the PFL event

Dakota Ditcheva will face Sumiko Inaba in a title unit during the first PFL combat evening in Cape Town, South Africa on July 26.

The Manchester fighter has not contributed since he won the World title PFL Flyweight last November And has publicly reprimanded the MMA promotion for not having booked.

Ditcheva, 26, will fight alongside former champion Bellator Johnny Eblen. He will fight in a “world title” fight despite the withdrawal of Bellator's titles earlier this year.

The PFL told Ditcheva and many of its colleagues champions of the PFL 2024 and Bellator belt holders which they would present during their events in the PFL Champions series in 2025.

Ditcheva and Eblen will be at the head of the inaugural event of the PFL in Africa, supervised by Francis Ngannou.

The part of the PFL champions of the event will be after the first round of an entirely African tournament in several weight categories.

The undefeated American fighter Eblen, 33, will defend his world title against the Costello Van Steenis of the Netherlands.

Inaba, 34, was a regular in the Bellator Flyweight division but was not part of the PFL 2024 weight tournament.

Ditcheva crossed the competition to become the first British woman to win a major world title in the MMA.

The English woman is undefeated in 14 fights with 13 finishes.
