Lexington, Ky. (AP) – A Kentucky woman was in a sticky mess when she found batteries of boxes containing lollipops on her front door. The surprise delivery was ordered by his young son as he played on his phone.
Holly Lafavers says that she tried to stop the Amazon command of Liam, 8, for around 70,000 Dum-Dum dragees before the arrival of the treats, but it was too late.
Amazon had already delivered 22 cases to his home.
“He told me that he wanted to have a carnival, and he commanded the dum-dums as a price for his carnival,” said Lafavers. “Again, he was friendly, he was kind to his friends.”
The surprise worsened after a quick check for his bank account. It owed about $ 4,000 for the order.
“When I saw what the number was, I just passed out,” said Lafavers.
She then discovered that eight other cases of the order were not counted, she said. After a trip to the post office, these cases were returned to the sender, she said.
Her efforts to obtain a refund took a little more time, but she recovered her money.
“After a long day of work with the bank and to speak to a few press stations, which Amazon called and they reimburse my money,” she said in an article on social networks.
Lafavers said that she changed certain parameters on her phone to make sure that there is never another surprise delivery at home.
