Ryan Garcia underwent a nightmarish defeat against Rolly Romero on Friday, potentially leaving her revenge match with Devin Haney in tatters.
Garcia was abandoned by Romero in the second round and finally beat on points, a few moments after Haney won a decision against Jose Ramirez in the same ring in New York.
After Haney's victory, a triumph for Garcia would have set up a revenge match of their confrontation in 2024, in which “King Ryan” dropped the “dream” three times on the way to a decision decision, which was overthrown during the revelation that Garcia had failed to a prefabricated screening test.
