Cincinnati Reds voltiseur, Tyler Callihan, broke his left forearm while trying to take a sliding against the Braves of Atlanta on Monday.
In the third round of 4-0 victory of the BravesCallihan continued a Matt Olson fly ball deeply in the left field. While Callihan initially seemed to be seized, he slammed hard in the wall along the left line. He lost the ball as he went back and crashed on the floor while reaching his left arm, clearly in a lot of pain.

Callihan threw his glove as the game continued. He ended up being a home run inside the park, a call that was confirmed after the Reds challenged and put the brave 4-0.
Reds manager Terry Francona said after the match that Callihan had undergone several broken bones in his left forearm. He is expected to return to Cincinnati on Tuesday and he will undergo surgery. It is not known how long it will be sidelined.
“There is no good way to explain it,” said Francona, via athletics. “The child is full of explosion, trying everything he can to save races. I asked (Fielder Center) always because always was the first there, and he just said it was so bad when he arrived.
Callihan, 24, was playing in his fourth major league game since he made his debut last week. The Reds selected it in the third round of the 2019 MLB draft.
Callihan was replaced by Blake Dunn in the left field after the injury. The Braves drove to the four -point victory and even made a boost in the eighth round.
The Reds fell to 18-18 with defeat, which marked their third consequence. There are three games against the brave this week in Atlanta.
