The rebels supported by Iran in Yemen announced on Sunday evening the imposition of a complete air blockade on Israel, in what it described as a response to the Israeli government's decision to extend its military operations in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement released by his media, the spokesman for Houthi, the general of Brigadier, Yahya Saree called on international airlines to take the warning seriously in order to preserve the security of their travelers, saying that the decision came into force immediately.
Sareei said: “We will impose the headquarters by repeatedly targeting Israeli airports, in particular Lod (Ben Gurion) international airport near Tel Aviv.”
“We will not accept the continuation of the state of anarchy that Israel is trying to impose on the Arab countries, mainly in Lebanon and Syria.” The declaration added,
The announcement follows the launch of group missiles at Israel's main international airport, the impact of which near an access road has caused passenger panic.
The attack on Ben Gurion International Airport intervened a few hours before the Israeli ministers of the cabinet voted on the opportunity to intensify military operations in Gaza. The army called tens of thousands of reserves, said the Chief of Israel, Lieutenant-General Eyal Zamir.

The Houthi rebels have shot Israel since the war with Gaza began on October 7, 2023. The missiles were mainly intercepted, although some have penetrated the Israeli anti -missile defense systems, causing damage.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the United States supported Israeli operations against Houthis.
“It's not Bang, Bang, and we have finished, but there will be a fringe,” he said. In a later declaration, he added that Israel would respond to the Houthis “and, at one point and to a place of our choice, to their Iranian masters”.
