Antonio Daniels played under Popovich for four seasons, winning the 1999 NBA championship together.
Popovich has been the head coach of Spurs since 1996 and is the most victorious coach in the history of the NBA with 1,422 victories. His curriculum vitae includes five NBA titles, 18 consecutive seasons of 50 victories, 170 victories in the playoffs and three honors of the NBA coach.
Before becoming head coach in San Antonio, Popovich was a assistant for Spurs from 1988 to 1992 and for the Golden State Warriors from 1992 to 1994. The East Chicago, Indiana, also played for the United States Air Force Academy from 1966 to 1970 and helped Team USA to win gold at the Olympic Games 2020 Sides of Villanova coach Jay Wright.
