A close 2-1 victory over the brave of Atlanta on Wednesday could not prevent the Rockies of Colorado from claiming the worst April record in the history of the major baseball league.
After their defeat of 8-2 on Tuesday, the Rockies rebounded, ending a skid of eight games and giving them a file of 5-25.

Last season, the Chicago White Sox finished with the worst record for modern baseball But always collected six victories at the end of April.
According to AthleticsThe rocks are about to lose 135 games, 14 more than the 121 defeats from Chicago last year.
Although the Rockies are not known as a winning franchise, their disastrous departure this season has a catastrophic drop from previous years. In 33 years as a team, Colorado has only nine winning seasons and did the playoffs only five times. The most successful season of the Rockies took place in 2007, when they were swept by the Boston Red Sox in the World Series.
At the rate they move, the rocks could give the Cleveland spiders of 1899 a race for their money. This team of Spiders holds the worst record in the history of the MLB, 20-134, and went 7-22 in their first 29 games.

“The guys are angry. The guys are pissed off. All the adjectives you want to launch,” said Bud Black Rockies Manager, according to The Athletic. “These guys are professional baseball players who want to win matches and want to do it, and that simply did not happen in a group. We just don't have enough guys playing well.”
Fortunately for the Rockies, they have five months to run their season. The Colorado will start its next series against the Giants of San Francisco on Thursday.
