Tuskegee, ala. (AP) – A fleeing kangaroo named Sheila closed a section of Alabama motorway on Tuesday before the state soldiers and the owner of the animal compete for the capricious marsupial.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said that the Kangaroo was spotted on Tuesday jumping along the Interstate 85 in the county of Macon, which is between Montgomery and Auburn.

The view rumbled in traffic and the state soldiers closed both sides of the motorway for motorists' safety. The owner and the animal's soldiers were able to capture him, said Captain Jeremy J. Burkett de l'Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

“When someone said there was a kangaroo of course, I didn't believe it, and no one believed it. But I look at it,” said the Sheriff of Macon County, Andre Brunson, in a live video from Facebook when the animal was captured.

The owner used a dart to calm the animal.

Brunson's video has shown that the drug addict transported to a vehicle to be returned home. The animal was captured on the side of the highway between Tuskegee and Auburn, said sheriff.

“We see a bit of everything here,” said sheriff.

The owner of the animal, Patrick Starr, told the Associated Press that the name of the animal is Sheila and that it had escaped its enclosure.

“She is back home safely. She is standing. She is no longer under sedation. She eats. She drinks. She is not injured,” said Starr.

Kangaroo was treated by Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, he said.

The family manages a pumpkin patch and a zoo to caress, but Sheila is just a personal animal, said Starr.

“It is a sweet pet. I'm glad it is back home, and I'm glad everyone has slowed down a bit,” he said.

Austin Price, who took a video of the animal that jumped on the highway, said that he should briefly wonder if he saw things.

“I hear my grandmother shouting:” Is it a kangaroo? ” Said Price.

He assumed that it was probably a deer until he looks. “And yes, it's a kangaroo.”
