South Korean prosecutors Raid The private residence of the ex-president of Yoon, reports Yonhap

Seoul: South Korean prosecutors are carrying out a research operation at ousted President Yoon Suk Yeol Private residence, reported on the Yonhap news agency on Tuesday, April 29. Yoon was ousted on April 4 for his attempt to declare martial law at the end of last year.

Prosecutors investigating a case of influence involving religious figures sought documents and documents that could indicate their association with the former president and his wife, said Yonhap.

It was not clear if the investigators had entered the premises, said Yonhap.

A spokesperson for the Southern Seoul District Prosecutors Office, who manages the case, could not be joined to comment.

Following his dismissal of December 14 by the Parliament, Yoon had resisted investigators attempts to search the official presidential residence, citing reasons of security and protection of classified materials.

He moved to his private residence on April 11.
