Less than 24 hours after having publicly approved the talents of The quarter of Oregon Dillon GabrielCleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry faced the media with a similar task on Saturday afternoon.

Conversations with talent assessors and leaders of the League have painted a surprising image: there is a underlying support and understanding for the non-traditional Browns decision-making process, and in particular their selection of Sanders 144th in total. The risk exists. But the decision -makers believe that it is worth taking.
“The success rate is so bad on the quarters (that) if you can have two strikes instead of one, I don't think it's a bad idea,” Yahoo Sports told Yahoo Sports.

“The only thing I really liked on this subject was the psychological element of the creation of the competition,” said the assessor in Yahoo Sports. “You take (Sanders) as a bubble player now with a QB they have taken above him, where (Sanders) is not guaranteed in a place and must be in combat or leak mode.
“I hope he can register when Gabriel takes representatives about him as I imagine.”

Five different talent assessors of the league have agreed: Sanders illustrated more talents and a higher ceiling than Gabriel.
They generally thought that Sanders was a second -round talent (the assessors who spoke to Yahoo Sports varied from the end to the first in the fourth round, with most in the second) while Gabriel was most often as a fifth round choice with a beach to a sixth.

Gabriel played 64 games in total in six seasons at the UCF, Oklahoma and Oregon. It completed 65.2% of the passes for 18,722 yards, 155 affected and 32 choices.

Each player culminated in his last season, Sanders completing 74% of the passes with a touchdown / interception report from 37 to 10 while Gabriel finished 72.9% while he launched 30 to 6.

Pickett seems to be the most likely starter of week 1, with Sanders and Gabriel likely to receive the possibility of competing for No. 2.
