Oisin Murphy, the quadruple champion Flat Jockey, was involved in a car accident that led him to miss the race in Southwell on Sunday.
The accident would have taken place a few hours after Murphy, 29, was driving in Leicester on Saturday. His agent confirmed on Monday that he was involved in an accident but that he was “good”.
A report by the British author authority's stewards on the outset said that Murphy had missed four rides in Southwell due to “travel problems”.
However, he was back in Windsor on Monday where he won a first race on the founder of the favorite sea of 13-8.
Before the first race at 4:25 p.m., his agent Gavin Horne said The mirror: “All I know is that Oisin had a car accident and that's it. He's going well and runs tonight.”
Murphy is widely considered as among the most talented jockeys in the weighing room. He came out of his skin at the start of the season with 33 winners at a rate of a winner every four rides.
However, he endured complications away from sport, and said last year that the advice had helped him considerably. He raised the champion of Jockey of the champion last year – his fourth title – since his return from a suspension of 14 months in March 2023 for violation of the COVVI -19 rules and for twice the shortened breathing tests for alcohol.
Murphy is currently retained jockey for Sheikh Fahad al-Thani's Qatar Racing, but this operation being down means that it is free to roll as the first Jockey by Andrew Balding who is in the running to be a champion coach. He will be in a good position to defend his title when the “season” begins on Saturday.
Murphy, from Kerry, is a nephew of Jim Culloty, better known as the Jockey of Gold Winner Winner's Mate.
Telegraph Sport I tried to reach Horne and Murphy to comment on Monday.
