A 41 -year -old man was arrested after being kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 13 -year -old girl, Stockton Police Department announced on Friday.

The police were contacted on April 22 concerning the report of a missing person. They learned that the girl had left her house. Shortly after, the police were informed of a possible sexual assault. Police said they had confirmed that the two incidents were linked.

After an investigation by patrol agents, police said they learned that the girl was walking near West Lane and the Calaveras river when she had been approached by the man.

The man forced him to enter his vehicle and fled into the area. He then assaulted her sexually in his car. Once the vehicle stopped in a parking lot, the girl escaped and called for help, according to the investigators.

Dennis Lee was arrested Thursday after the detectives launched an investigation and registered his vehicle in a law application database. The members of the Auto Flight Working Group have located their vehicle.

Afterwards, the deputies of the Board of Sheriff of the County of San Joaquin helped to stop traffic. The police who were also on the scene arrested Lee, who proved to be in possession of a replica of firearm.

According to prison files, Lee was sentenced on Thursday in San Joaquin County prison at 2:05 p.m. for suspicion of seven crimes:

  • Oral copulation by using force;

  • Oral copulation of a person under the age of 14;

  • Obscene or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14;

  • Sexual penetration of a person under the age of 14 with force;

  • Obscene or lascious acts with a child under the age of 14 with force;

  • Aggravated sexual assault of a minor with a foreign object.

Lee has in -depth criminal history, including offenses such as guilty manslaughter, prostitution and sexual assault, police said.

Lee's deposit is set at $ 4,005,000. He must appear before the San Joaquin County Superior Court for the indictment at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
