To the editor: It is logical that many of us feel the cervical boost of the Trump administration and the daily uncertainty that he poses on the world (“Trump's reversals from the Fed chair, Chinese prices send markets above”, “ April 23). However, I think that dissonance is also identified by the fact that we are retained hostage in the chaotic spirit of Trump.
He is a person who changes his mind with the breeze and likes to fight, as if it was the same as he breathes, and who will continue to encourage fights with the larger world in order to show that he is in charge. The constant chaos that we live is useful for many. Although the Democratic Party must unite and finally fight, in the meantime, a crash helmet, a hug and a drama may be enough.

To the publisher: The actions of President Trump may seem unpredictable, but he does the same thing he did on January 6, 2021. He held that day and did nothing for three hours against all this pain and this carnage. Today, he does the same thing: while our neighbors and our allies are swinging from threatened rates, because American citizens are faced with higher prices for goods and grocery stores, while the scholarships are blocking and the position of the United States in the world flows more and more, he looks happily from his proud palace.

To the publisher: I almost had to laugh when I read that the Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, said that America first understands “mutual respect among business partners”. The President surely does not respect any respect for our business partners who, he said on several occasions, “have been ripped off” for years. Good luck, besing, in the speaking sense in your boastful boss!
