The legend of tennis Andre Agassi is ready for his next challenge. Agassi – eight times winner of the Grand Slam in tennis – now takes his talents in Pro Pickleball.
Agassi will make her professional debut at the American Pickleball Open championships in Naples, Florida, April 30. He teams up with the largest sports star, Anna Leigh Waters, 18, as part of the double match.
Agassi is no stranger to pickleball. In 2023, he participated in Pickleball Slam. The event – which also featured Michael Chang, John McEnroe and Andy Roddick – marked that the first pickleball was broadcast on ESPN.

Waters is considered the best pickleball player in the world. It is currently classified as the best singles, the doubles and the mixed player in the world. Waters has been a pillar in sport since 2019, when she was only 12 years old. His aggressive style of play is recognized for changing the way pros play pickleball, and that's why Waters wanted to team up with Agassi for the event. Agassi was considered an aggressive tennis player at his peak.
The American Pickleball Open championships will start on Saturday and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. Agassi and the waters should take the court at 12 noon.
