Broadway Boy must go home after having a strong fall in the Grand National.
The horse, trained at the Gloucestershire by Nigel Twiston-Davies, directed the centerpiece of Aintree when he went down heavily to Valentine's Brook on the second circuit.
“It seems much more positive and he comes home. There will be a few weeks of uncertainty for future races,” said Nigel's son and assistant coach Willy Twiston-Davies.
“But it seems much more positive than yesterday (Saturday) and the most important thing is that our horse comes home and should be ok.
“His well-being for the coming weeks is the most important thing and the Aintree veterinarians have done a great job.
“Laura Scrivener, who took care of him all night, was fantastic with him and our boy returned home.”
Willy's brother's brother Sam said that the horse was “steep and painful”.
After the race, Broadway Boy and Celebre d'Allen – which were drawn – were walked to the horse ambulances after being assessed on the right track by the veterinarians and led to the stables of the racetrack for a more in -depth assessment.
The Broadway Boy Tom Bellamy jockey underwent a broken wrist.
