Phil Dalhausser, Beach-Volley Olympic gold medalist and the fame of fame, plans to retire after this season at 45 years.
“I decided that my 23rd season as a professional Beach-Volley player will be my last”, ” was published on Dalhausser's social media. “It was a Helluva conduct, but as they say that all the good things end. I wanted to announce this in the hope of meeting the fans who continue to support not only me, but also our magnificent Beach-Volley sport. Thank you very much and I will see you on the sand one last time!”

Dalhausser won gold during his Olympic beginnings in Beijing in 2008 with his partner Todd Rogers. Nicknamed “Thin Beast”, the Dalhausser of 6 feet 9 inch participated in three other Olympic Games – one more with Rogers, then two with Nick Lucena – and retired from the international game after the Tokyo Games.
He continued to play on the national AVP tour and has more than 100 titles combined in all professional events.
Dalhausser started playing late interior volleyball at high school, then played in the club team for the University of Florida Centrale. He initially worked on construction after graduating with a business administration diploma in 2002.
He made his debut AVP in 2003 (with Lucena), then teams up with Rogers from 2005.

They won the world title in 2007 and 2008 became the third American male team to win gold in the first four beach Olympic tournaments. No American male team has won a medal since.
Dalhausser and Rogers separated after the 2012 London Games. Dalhausser then joined Sean Rosenthal (2013-15) before finding Lucena for her last two Olympic Games.
He was enthroned at the Beach-Volley International Fame in 2023 renowned temple.
