Alexander Volkanovski is far from over. With a chance to make history, living legend showed why he was one of the greatest talents of his time, reducing vintage performance on Saturday at UFC 314 at Launch a second reign of featherweight of the UFC with a grainy decision victory over Diego Lopes.
Volkanovski, 36, is now the first fighter under 155 pounds to capture a UFC belt on the age of 35. He is also only the second featherweight to recover the belt after having lost it, joining his compatriot Jose Aldo.

In doing so, Volkanovski rejected any concern that his time at the top had spent after the defeats following Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria. Volkanovski took a 14 -month break after these setbacks – by far, the longest layoff of his nine -year career in the UFC – but the tactics have paid off.
