To the editor: I remember having traveled the old motorway 99 (when it was still American 99) between the and the region of the bay in the early 1960s, before the construction of the Interstate 5. It crossed the midfielder of Bakersfield (with the vaulted “Bakersfield“Sign above), Fresno, Modesto and other small cities. So, remembering the old guests, do not forget the famous Tip coffee near Gorman, with its red and green neon lights along the rooftop.
