Friday morning, two officers were slaughtered and a suspect was killed during a shooting in a Motel in the County of Fulton.
According to police, a Fulton county officer saw a suspicious Jaywalking person near the Budgetel Inn and Suites on Fulton Industrial Blvd. Near MLK Jr. conduct SW and stopped it. The officer asked for help from the South Fulton police.
When a South Fulton officer arrived, the suspect opened fire on him as he opened the door of his patrol car.

South Fulton police chief Keith Meadows confirmed that Lieutenant Charles Cook had been killed three times and was currently in critical condition in the hospital.
Fulton county officer Zahir Muid was also killed and injured. Chef Meadows said Muid's injuries were minor.

The suspect was shot. His identity has not been released.
Fulton county police chief W. Wade Yates said Muid used his first aid training to apply a tourniquet at Lieutenant Cook, probably saving his life.
Chef Meadows said he had spoken with Muid, who said he didn't know if he would have survived if Lieutenant Cook had not been there.
