The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival posted its fixed hours for its two weekends, with a new handle of millennial guitar rock.
With Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone and Travis Scott still locked as headliners, the festival added a first weekend (April 11 to 13) of Weezer in the Mojave tent at 3:10 pm this Saturday. The group was on the road to play its first eponymous (“blue”) LP in full; The prolific rockers did not leave LP from “Van Weezer” of 2021 and the collection of “Sznz” of “Sznz” of 2022, so it would not be a shock to hear them again material to test the road.
The second weekend of the festival (April 18-20) will offer a brilliant and early Settar Folk-Pop Ed Sheeran Settar at 3 p.m. this Saturday in the Mojave. Sheeran has just released “Azizam”, a single from his eighth album to come, “Play”. Even if he must be the guy of singer -interpreter the most general public to decorate a coachella scene from Jack Johnson, he is an act of stadium caliber in one of the most modest sites of Coachella – probably the smallest set Socal he played Since his recent Casino concert.
The festival had a little room to play with it, because FKA Twigs recently announced that its North American shows in April had been canceled due to visa problems.
These additions are pursuing a recent sequence of first and second line acts playing last-minute ultra-prime sets. Other recent coaches have seen Arcade Fire diurnal slots, the Vampire weekend and the fakes gathered at two thirds during the YG Marley program.
