In 2024, Tencent filmed its popular series of Idol Chuang Asia reality competitions in Thailand.
Shot in Bangkok, the series of 10 episodes saw 70 trainees from the region of the region such as Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, in the running for spots in a new group of multinational girls.

The “dynamic entertainment industry” of Thailand, “a well -established idol culture” and the world attraction made ideal to welcome and film the reality show, said Han.
“With many successful Thai stars that gain international renown, the country offers an ideal environment to discover and feed new talents.”
But even if the Chinese offers of pop culture win in the region, Chinese entertainment companies are still faced with large obstacles to sail in the uneven diversified and technological land of Southeast Asia to respond to shows and other offers for the local public, said Yap.
“The products should be accessible to all audiences.”
