Amanda Knox – which was acquitted in 2011 of Murder 2007 From her roommate Meredith Kercher, after spending four years in an Italian prison cell – says she recently had an exchange with the police at an airport about her past imprisonment and her current work.

Knox shared in a series of Posts on x that she had climbed a flight to Dublin from a Seattle airport in order to promote her new memoir, Free: my search for meaningWhen she was arrested by cops.

She said they asked her where she was traveling and what she planned to do once she arrived in Ireland. In response, she told them that she was going to be “interviewed” on television for her new book, which was to “reintegrate society after prison”.

Knox said he was then asked, “What did you do to end up (in) a prison?” what She answered“In fact, I didn't do it.” When the police asked her how long she was in prison, she said she was there for “four years until I was found innocent”.

Knox and her boyfriend then Raffaele Sollecito were accused in 2007 of murder Kercher, who was found dead in the house they shared in Péurgie, Italy. After almost two years in prison and an 11 -month trial, an Italian jury recognized Knox and Sollecito guilty of having killed Kercher, and the couple was sentenced to 26 and 25, respectively, in prison.

However, in 2011, a court of appeal canceled the most serious accusations against Knox, declaring in his second trial that there had been poor management of DNA evidence in the case. The case was tried again and Knox was again found guilty of the murder of Kercher, but he was again canceled after the highest Italian court said that there were “blatant errors” in the investigation.

Rudy Guede, who rented a section of the same house as Knox and Kercher, was guilty murder and sexual assault and sentenced to 30 years in a separate trial of 2008.
