President Donald Trump should sign an executive decree later Friday to the exclusion of certain borrowers of student loan to the popular Public Service Pardon Pardon Program.
Speaking by the oval office, Trump accused the PSLF program of including organizations which “engage in illegal activities, or what we will consider inappropriate”.
PSLFThat President George W. Bush reported in 2007 in 2007, allows many non -profit employees and the government to cancel their federal student loans after 10 years of payments.
During his first months in power, Trump repressed illegal immigration as well as diversity efforts in the public and private sector. Many non -profit organizations work in these spaces, providing legal support or doing advocacy and education work.
Consumer defenders were quick to criticize Trump's decision.
“Donald Trump is debt in terms of police speech that does not make the Magi party line,” said Mike Pierce, executive director and co-founder of the Borrower Protection Center Student, wrote on X. “Our democracy is on fire.”
