5. Donovan Ezeiruaku, Boston College
Here are the first five on -board perspectives in the draft of the NFL 2025. (Davis Long / Yahoo Sports)
1. Abdul Carter, Penn State
Charles McDonald: Carter oozing with a potential of 10 helmets in the NFL. He is an explosive agile player who spent all last season to flow through attacking lines when he accumulated a last season of monsters for Nittany Lions. Carter has a thin construction (250 pounds at 6 feet 3 inches), but it is often able to attenuate this with blinding speed – which allowed him to direct the FBS with 24 plated for the loss last season on the regular season and the CFP.

Carter can have an early impact with his speed while he becomes stronger and gain weight for the NFL. Carter faces an injury to the foot at the moment which will put him away from working for the rest of the draft season, but that will not prevent him from being selected early.
Nate Tice: When a defender of Penn State now obtains the n ° 11 jersey, he will inevitably be compared to Micah Parsons, which is unfair to any player and such a high bar. However, Carter is about as close to this comparison of Starts like a player can get it.
He is a rusher with nervous pass who can look into the corners and stay on his feet despite his body like Gumby. Carter always adds layers to its use of the hands and how to keep the blockers unbalanced, but it has the package of length, fast athletics, folding, playing force and effort to give it the advantage of an Elite Ace Edge defender with a double -digit bag up the NFL.
He also has an earlier experience as an out -of -ball and rusher inner pass to start. He must still work on the discipline in the racing game and can count on the knife inside on his rush to the pass (which allows the QB to escape the pocket) little too much. He also has no bulk elite, but it is compromise with his ability to move. It plays hard and it is difficult to find this amount of real pass of Pass de Pass. His doctors also throw a key in his evaluation, because the combined tests have revealed a stress fracture in his foot, which must be monitored.

In addition, he also does Cool things with adhesive tape on his mask.
2. Mykel Williams, Georgia
Nate Tice: Williams fought against injuries in 2024, but the flashes and tools were still there when he was on the ground. Its production has also started to increase, these attractive features turning into sustained impact on the game.
As the most recent prospects for a defensive line and georgia edge, it is a question of seeing what Williams does when it is on the ground as part of the deep rotation of Georgia at the front. After a part -time role at the start of his career in Georgia, the package of features and the Williams impact game is instantly apparent with more extensive pictures. In the racing game, he constantly explodes offensive line editors with his explosive strength and knitting. When you precipitate the smuggler, he flashes an current set in progress with a real debate.

Williams is size, athletics, technique and competitiveness to be a good rusher of tips for a defense on the road. But his ability to be a more running defender immediately gives him a high floor to see the ground early while he continues to develop his arsenal of Pass-Rush.
He increases as a real impact player against the race in a short time. Williams is size and versatility to launch inside for snaps to create match advantages. He has shown this already at the university where the guards even dominated in the race game. He must still show more consistency and diversity with his passenger pastures, but Williams is an impressive player who should continue to add diapers to his game with more playing time. He will benefit from more shots outside at the next level when he can pin his ears and leave. Players like Demarcus Lawrence and mounting sweatshirts are what Williams can project at the next level – at least with regard to the style of play – with just this little advantage to find out more as rusher of pass.
Charles McDonald: Williams does not have the sexiest style of play, but he did the work for the Bulldogs when he was healthy. Williams is a deadly and powerful defensive winger who did a lot of dirty work between the plated for Georgia. He will most likely start full -time full -time in the NFL.
3. Mike Green, Marshall
Charles McDonald: The raw talent and athletics are sufficient to bring most of the teams to write a strongly passing perspective – and Green is suitable for it. A quick investigation into his 2024 season shows a player who always finds some of the subtleties of the defensive line, which is logical since he has not become a full -time player at the limit before the university.

Green can spoil the way he plays the stitch on an option game from time to time, but the bursting and speed he has taken out of the edge will have defensive line coaches who beat the table for him. Even if he does not yet have the most refined skills, he led the nation with 17 bags and made a good fight in the racing match against the heavier offensive plated.
Nate Tice: Green is a rusher of competitive and folded passes which can obtain after the QB as well as anyone else in this draft class (he recorded 17 bags in 2024, which led the FBS). Although he has not played the highest level of competition, Green dominated it, which is exactly what you hope to see by a perspective that plays in a non -powerful conference. He was also an impact defender when Marshall played Ohio State at the start of the season.

Green has no ideal size (6 feet 3 inches, 251 pounds, 32 inch arms, 8½ inches), but it is nervous and explosive and plays with effort and wants to help compensate for any size gap. Green is a disruptive against the pass and the race, and has as much as a rise as any player in this class. Green is maximum in terms of size, and the larger / strong offensive line players will be able to overwhelm it at the next level, but its effort and its turn will easily translate at the next level. And I think it will be able to make enough explosive games against the race to compensate for some of the negatives.
The teams will also have to be comfortable with previous outdoor concerns.
4. Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M
Nate Tice: Stewart made a show at The Combine, which was not a total surprise given what he blinks on the film. Stewart's natural talent cannot be taught, and it has been very disruptive this season in terms of generation pressure despite the end with only 1.5 bags (and 4.5 bags in three years at College Station).

The finish is something on which Stewart still needs to work, because he often runs right next to the QB or the buckllon holder after defeating his blocker. His feeling for the game is not something that seems to be natural for him.
But again, Stewart's tools are breathtaking. He is explosive in a large setting (6-5, 267 pounds) and has the length (84 3/4 inch) and the strength to keep blockers at a distance while he discovers how to attack, and he always plays hard. He is also devastating when he can attack twists and turns and defensive lines. Stewart just needs a lot of refining and improvement on his talent (his arsenal of the rush to the passes is also quite limited at the moment).
He is the Edge perspectives loaded with conventional features which has risks, but the NFL still concerns high -end features. Top with five type talents, type 2 production, I divided the difference and I put it at 17 years old.
Charles McDonald: Athletics has never been a question for StewartBut production has not yet equaled skills. It is a little more excusable on the defensive line where the teams try to find the most athletic guys they can get after the smuggler – and this can make Stewart be written as high as the first five when everything is finished.

Stewart has rare features. It will be up to his next defensive line coach to help him finish the parts he is starting to create. Potential by the roof here.
5. Donovan Ezeiruaku, Boston College
Charles McDonald: Ezeiruaku is another player in this class who should be a strong addition to a team trying to strengthen his rush to the passes. It is not the biggest pass pass (6-2 1/2, 248 pounds), but it is fast, explosive and has a beautiful range of movements to go home. He had a combined performance quite similar to the former rusher of Boston College Edge Harold Landry, who is a decent comparison for him to move to the pros.

Nate Tice: Ezeiruaku has no overwhelming size, but it is long (34 -inch arm length) and is a disturbing rusher with a devastating swimming movement. He is a productive player who can constantly affect the smuggler and has a contraction and sufficient length to overcome his ideal lack of size. It can always be muffled by greater offensive plated, especially in the race game.
Although this can limit the projection of all the stockings of Ezeiruaku at the next level, everyone likes rushers of passes, and Ezeiruaku plays hard, is disruptive, already has a pass arsenal and sets out after the QB in a hurry.
