How do you define the feeling stuck in a rut? For me, it's when I can't imagine doing, or even thinking about doing, only one thing. My task list, although full of tasks that I often appreciate, seems painful. And even if I don't do anything, I feel like I'm doing All. The list of things I think I should do crosses my head until I am exhausted, that I haven't accomplished anything, and in a way worse.
A rut is officially defined Like “a habit or a model of behavior that has become dull and unproductive but which is difficult to change”, but I think that the concept extends beyond. The ruts can come from all shapes and sizes: an afternoon of the writer's block, a period of change in mid-carrier of “who am I and what does it worry”, or a few days when, no matter how pleasant the time is, you simply cannot get to leave your house.
I like to think – and don't dispute if you know better – that we all feel stuck in a rut. Although the same old man, the same old man is often comforting, sometimes a switch turns around and you feel drained by the trivial. It is difficult to find a balance, especially when it often seems easier to undergo.
But there are ways to go out!
Last fall, I bought an orchid. Embarrassing, it was not the first orchid that I never bought. The first, which I will arrive in possession of years earlier, quickly lost its flowers and that I am willing – even if I thought I was doing a very good job by taking care of this. That's life!
After a month or two of pleasure in the elegant orchid petals number two, the flowers started to fall again, one after the other. Besides the wrinkled flowers, the plant looked in fairly good health and I knew I knew I was doing everything I was supposed to do when it was plant care.
Although there is no miracle remedy to withdraw from a difficult situation, there are ways to take care of yourself and get back gently above the ground.
So I did my research, I read the fanatical sons of orchids and I concluded an interesting conclusion: it was a normal process in the life of my beautiful plant. Dormancy periods are normal. Flowering would come back. I just had to be patient … and continue to water.
Although there is no miracle remedy to withdraw from a difficult situation, there are ways to take care of yourself and get back gently above the ground.

14. Daydream.

15. Whether.
Sometimes periods of rest are necessary so that you can think about the lessons learned or wait for something incredible to achieve. If you need a break, honor that.
16. Allow yourself the help you need.
Sometimes a rut is just a rut, but sometimes it's something deeper than a case to feel stuck. If you think you could be depressed, know that the help will be different from the simple construction of a vision table and in the meantime. Talk to your doctor or a mental health professional, talk to your loved ones and do not forget that the same main belief applies: it will not be forever. (Although this of course does not mean that it is not difficult now.)
